General Information
This session will provide an update about e-cigarettes and how they became popular over the past 5 years, particularly with adolescents. The presenter will discuss the events leading to the emergence of lung injury cases during the summer of 2019. The presentation will describe the lung disease and associated symptoms seen in the teens who were admitted at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The session will conclude with actions that are being taken at a local and federal level to combat this epidemic.


Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity attendees will be able to: Identify appropriate treatment and management for conditions, illnesses and injuries for adolescents and young adults; analyze emerging population health trends in preadults; review multidisciplinary collaboration in all areas of health care for adolescents as they transition to adulthood. 


Method of Participation 
Participants view the presentation and listen to the synchronized audio of the recorded lecture. After completing the activity, participants must complete an evaluation in order to receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
